Sha Tin is Hong Kong's main course: a wide, right-handed turf track with a 430m straight, plus an all-weather track inside it. Most weekend meetings and all the Group 1s are run here. The long straight gives closers a fair chance, but the rail position (A to C+3) changes how the inside draws fare.
